      On the afternoon of September 13, Academician Yu Quan, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, researcher of System Engineering Institute of Military Academy and academic leader in the field of wireless communication in China, presented a lecture titled Can Machines Think -- Is the Turing Test Still Valid? to the teachers and students of Fudan University in the Lecture Hall 202 of Guanghua Building, Handan Campus, Fudan University.       Vice President Professor Wang Yuanyuan delivered a welcoming speech. He then gave an excellent presentation on Alan Turing's 1950 paper 'Computing Machines and Intelligence'. It is known to all that Alan Turing has made great contributions to the field of modern computer science and is known as the father of artificial intelligence. In this paper, he proposed the famous Turing test and demonstrated it from the nine questioning points of theology, ethics, mathematics, philosophy, ability, innovation, biology, human nature and superspirit. For a long time, this test has been regarded as a standard to judge the thinking ability of machines, but in the long development process, there have been a lot of pseudo-Turing tests to confuse the sight. Through a series of thinking and sharing, Academician Yu has recognized and interpreted Turing's conjecture from an all-round and multi-angle, and looked forward to the leading of the future development of computer science from the perspective of Can machines think, which is related to science, philosophy and the ultimate fate of human beings. Finally, Academician Yu hopes that Fudan students can think independently and face the world and life with critical thinking and open and inclusive attitude, which is the most meaningful thing to study in Fudan.

      Academician Yu Quan's profound knowledge and wonderful speech greatly benefited the teachers and students present, and they had interaction with him on relevant issues.
