INC Lab Teachers and Students Attend 2024 INFOCOM Conference

From May 20 to 23, 2024, the INFOCOM conference was held in Vancouver, Canada. This year, the conference registered nearly 700 participants, marking the first in-person meeting since the pandemic. Top scholars and researchers from around the world gathered to share and discuss the latest scientific achievements. Four members from INC Lab were invited to participate and presented their accepted papers.



Jiasheng Wu presented his paper, titled Accelerating Handover in Mobile Satellite Network. His research focuses on accelerating handovers in mobile satellite networks, proposing an innovative method to enhance handover efficiency, reduce latency, and improve user experience. His findings sparked lively discussions among the attending experts.



Dr.Xingqiu He delivered an academic report on Exploiting Storage for Computing: Computation Reuse in Collaborative Edge Computing. He's research centers on the utilization of storage and computation reuse in collaborative edge computing. He proposed a novel method that significantly improves computation efficiency and resource utilization by sharing and reusing computation results among edge nodes. His work is highly valued not only for its theoretical contributions but also for its broad practical applications.



At this year's INFOCOM conference, members of INC Lab demonstrated their profound expertise in scientific research and broadened their horizons through exchanges with international peers. These experiences will provide valuable insights for their future research endeavors.
